High Court Rejects WAEC's Plea to Delay Release of Withheld WASSCE Results
The High Court has denied the West African Examinations Council's (WAEC) request to delay the release of over ten thousand withheld WASSCE results. Justice Ali Baba Abature dismissed WAEC's application for a stay of execution, citing the council's failure to provide sufficient evidence to justify the withholding of the results. As a result, WAEC has been fined GHS 5,000.
Following the dismissal, WAEC is now legally obligated to release the withheld results without delay. The speculated date of release is February 28, 2025.
